1979年香川県生まれ。自分のリアリティーをどのように平面に表現できるかということを私が作品を制作するうえで追求している。西洋、東洋のクラシックな物の見方を利用して現代的な奥行きの世界に何らかの光を表現できればと思っている。
2002年 倉敷芸術科学大学卒業。2010年 45回昭和会展松村謙三賞
2013年 角谷心平 吉中裕也２人展　あーとらんどギャラリー（香川県）

Kakutani Shinpei was born in Kagawa in 1979 and graduated from Kurashiki University of Science and the Arts in 2002.
Kakutani tries various methods to express the reality caught in the real world on canvas. Particularly, using the West and the Oriental classic view he wants to express some kind of light in the modern pictorial space in his painting.
